We then shared a parting smile, and after cleaning up for the night. I hit the snooze alarm for tomorrow. Waking up the next day not too bright and not too early, we took it easy as planned, and for me, the idea of getting up from my lounge chair to walk to the  snack bar was a major workout. It became the norm on our stay in Hawaii. We also closed each laid-back easy-going evening with a leisurely stroll along the breathtaking shoreline.

I must say though, I was a bit more laid-back than Jared, who always seemed to have to have something to keep himself occupied. While he was off swimming in his baggy swimming trunks, or jogging in his swim trunks with me one of his assorted tee shirts, I was so tapped out physically and emotionally by the time we got to this portion of the trip. My wardrobe would consist of light and breezy sun dresses, and the order of the day was wide brim hats to keep out the sun. I was completely content to pass the day by relaxing out on my lounge chair and take in the picture-perfect scenery.

Jared then caught me off guard by closing in for a kiss, and with feelings overriding whatever feelings I may have felt for Jared at the time, Jared might as well have been kissing a cold fish. Letting me go, his frustrations came out in his next remark, which led to a most insightful truth.

…..”Payback? Now what is that supposed to mean? You should know me better than that by now. I never meant any such things, and for you to even imply such a thing even in anger, maybe you’re right, and we, or I better rethink this things through.”

….. “But may by you’re right, and you better rethink whatever it is you may or may not think what is going on here, because really, gratitude is all you’re going to get from me.  And after what I’ve been through, that’s enough!”

The birth place of Lily’s nativity with it’s breathtaking beauty and majestic surroundings that is Colorado. Lily is awestruck by God’s good creation which equally brings to her amazement is the intellectual ingenuity God gifted humanity the ability to create such stunning edifices in the Big City and the quaint structures that is the Small Town living.

Expanding her horizon on the Vacation Getaway. Lily finds herself in awe by the beauty and excellence she comes to experience in  Incredible London and Lovely Paris.

Landing in Hawaii Lily riding in a taxi to the beach front property of a posh hotel. She is captivated by the Lord’s creation of excellence that is the Hawaiian Paradise.

All is inviting from the island greeting of Aloha at the hotel to the welcoming relaxed ambiance between herself and Jared.

The couple is quite fatigued from their most recent travel plans, and having the same track mind, it is agreed to catch up later after a good night’s sleep.

Lily is now standing at her hotel room door looking up at Jared’s attractive hazel eyes full of emotion just for her. Clearly departing with a cordial smile is a letdown to Jared, and securing her hotel door. Lily is not only tired  from the hours spent in and out of airports.

But wearied is she from sorting out her past to present and onto an uncertain future. She is emotionally pained from the constant tug of war between her valid feelings for Caleb, and the re-awaking of emotions she is now re-experiencing with Jared.

Now nearing the end of a new beginning and with a future untold, it appears nothing is for certain, which includes even the attraction Jared provides with the upmost sincerity.

Lily infers the most marvelous gift God inferred to His beloved creation is Loves Passion, and yet when an in injury derives anguish ensues and the challenge for Lily now is to persevere.
