My Eyes Met Up With Heartache

Lily Among Thorns Song of Solomon 2:2 In the Last days 2nd Pter 3:3

Shape Up & Fly Right, Chapter 2, Pages 85, 86

[1] I took enormous comfort in the knowledge of knowing the Lord’s saving grace. On those nights at the warehouse when the workload was especially unbearable. I was thankful for my Guardian Angel, who for the most part would be working close by. Although he was forced to stand by and watch me bear this heavy burden alone, he was not only ever ready with an expression of compassion and concern. I do believe no one could say I love you with their eyes more so than my Guardian Angel to me. On occasion, we’d lose ourselves into each other’s gaze, and for one blessed instant, it was quite plausible for us to become oblivious to our hostile  surroundings.

[2] But it was on just such a time as this we’d soon find ourselves in peril, because unbeknown to us a guard was making his way up the aisle and due to our delayed reaction to get back to work. I just know it had not gone unnoticed, and bracing myself for the enemy’s ill-fated humor. I kept my head low and immediately began to pray for the Lord to give us the strength to do battle as it says in 2nd Timothy 2:3, “Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.”

[3]From what I could hear, the guard was wasting no time in making it quite apparent. He relished this opportunity and the idea of making an example of my dear sweet Guardian Angel, and for respect for the Lord I made it a point to clean up his crude and rude vocabulary, as it is written in Matthew 5:37, “But let your communications, Yea, yea: Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil.”

“So, Rawlands, I see you have a wondering eye for the ladies!”

I felt so useless only able to stand by and listen in, but upon hearing my Guardian Angel’s last name for the very first time. I lifted up my head and looked his way. I thought fondly he forever shall be known to me as Rawlands now, and my eyes met up with only heartache.

Author’s Commentary

[1] The eyes are spoken of as the windows into ones soul. Presently Lily is getting and eye full of a most horrific event testing her sensibilities to her very core. By this time she thought she had seen enough hatred to last her a life time, and she questioned is it possibly it could get any worse than what she had experienced thus far. And yet sadly on this night wickedness has exhibited its ugly head once again, and to comprehend such abhorrence in real time was way beyond her comprehension of decency. Her spirit then hearkened back to a verse from the Bible as it is written in John 1:5, And the light shineth in darkness: and the darkness comprehended it not.

Present all Lily once knew as wholesome and true, has now been violated by the unsavory elements of society of whom had gained access beyond her protected family home. She now finds herself surrounded by the pawns of ‘Spiritual Wickedness,’ on all sides as it is written in Ephesians 6:12, For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against rulers of darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

[2] But even now with this as her current grievous predicament. Lily is protective of her pure heart in the Lord, and being not deterred, it is incomprehensible within her spirit How can such vile intent exist in the world.

Thus, Lily is currently living in disbelief of the debased travesties of injustice transpiring right before her very eyes, and the unfathomable vice of such inhuman depravity moving forward. Summed up in a manner of speaking, there is little regard for the unspeakable crossings of the lines of propriety. And here is where Lily now finds herself in the grand abhorrent scheme of things living in a ‘Global Oppressive Beast System.’ No Longer under the protection of her dear family and a loving home. She therefore does that which is the only thing left freely given to her, and with a respectful salutation. Lily lifts up her voice in silent prayer unto the LORD in a dire need for HELP as it is written in Psalms 109:26, Help me, O LORD my God: O save me according to thy mercy.
