No New Thing Under the Sun
The Faithful depend upon the Holy Scriptures to be in a state of readiness. The story of Lily in Lily Among Thorns is a young girl’s steadfast Faith living in the Biblical prophetic warnings of the “Last Days” as it is written in Ezekiel 33:5, He heard the sound of the trumpet, and took not warning; his blood shall be upon him. But he that taketh warning shall deliver his soul.
The good news is the Faithful can be spiritually geared up to equip oneself to stand firm when things get tough. 1st Thessalonians 5:4, But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.
In the book, Lily reads of the Bible’s warnings of a world in peril. Luke 21:26 “Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken“

The Lord Endureth For Ever
The words of the Lord is the eternal word as it is written in 1st Peter 1:25, But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.
Thus the word of the Lord is applicable down through ages. In the novel Lily Among Thorns the world governments are being systematically replaced by the Antichrist “Tyrannical Global Cabal”. A complete surveillance society where the individual is first tracked and traced by way of a special ID Card to buy and sell. But soon enough the “Mark of the Beast” will be imposed upon the population of planet earth. And the Faithful who heed the Bible’s warnings not to take the “Mark” are considered an enemy of the rapidly rising “Global Beast Regime” and are swiftly confiscated in the night.
Lily, a beautiful damsel whose horrific crime against the rising oppressive demonic state is Lily’s Love for the Lord Jesus Christ and her belief in the Holy Scriptures of the Bible. Lily’s family suffered such extreme horrific consequences for their Christian Faith. The police came to Lily’s HOME at three in the morning, and brutally dragged Lily away from all that she had ever known and loved. Her father cried out, “NOOOO!” as they took his precious daughter never to be seen or heard from again. What happened to Lily as history has demonstrated, and the Bible gets to the heart of the issue as it is written in Ecclesiastes 1:9, The things that hath been, it is that which shall be, and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun.

Wise as Serpents
Lily arrives at an industrial harsh wasteland under the coercive authorities
referred as a “National Training Rehabilitation Center.” But in actuality it is a
prison for Christians. The director orates government approved newspeak
propaganda about a “New Age” and a “World Village.” She speaks of the old ways
are to be abolished. And anyone who is unwilling to comply with the “New Global
Oppressive System” shall be “dealt with accordingly.”
A warehouse where Lily works as forced labor, the guards were cruel. One guard
singled Lily out and kept making lewd advances toward her. Another guard beat
the man she loved, Caleb, right in front of her. Horrified she watched on helplessly
as he was beaten with a “nightstick” a club, and not believing her own eyes there
exists such blatant hatred in the world. Lily finds this Bible verse apropos as it is
written in Matthew 5:11-12, Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and
persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely for my name
sake. rejoice and be exceedingly glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so
persecuted they the prophets which were before you.
1st Corinthians 2:5, That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men,
But the Power of God!

Harmless as Doves
A Commander Stefan Strobeck at first comes across as an inflexible interrogator. He is part of the global malevolent machine that commits intentional cruelty to crush believers. He tells Lily, “They don’t play games here! And as intolerable it is for a man in here, please don’t let me spell it out for you, Lillian.” Yet on further deduction he proves himself to be of a benevolent category.
A Commander in Chief named Julius is openly cruel. He treats Lily in an undignified manner and relishes in the suffering of others, He says, “This is headquarters where we get the answers we want and from whoever we want. And by any means necessary!”
Believers will need to discern who is a friend or a foe encompassed by the enemy as it is written in Matthew 10:16, Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.
Psalms 2:2-4, The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying, Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us. He sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the LORD shall have them in derision.

The Lack of Knowledge
Hosea 4:6, My people are destroyed for the lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will reject thee....
Common to Lily’s day-to-day Faithful Journey are 5 Measures. First: Know the Word of the LORD. Acts 17:11, These (Bereans) were more noble (Character) then those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.
Lily reads her Bible constantly. She quotes verses from memory. When things get exceptionally severe, the Holy Scriptures inspire her to continue in the good fight!
Second: Community of Believers. Lily finds the Faithful are everywhere and they motivate and help each other to become a network of PRAYER WARRIORS! Philippians 4:6, Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.
Third: Done All to Stand. Lily stands firm fortifying her Faith from the Holy Scriptures to oppose the forces of darkness. Ephesians 6:13, Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all to stand.

For the Joy of the LORD is our Strength!
The Love of God
Fourth: Love is Eternal. Lily’s devotion to the Holy Scriptures enable her to hearten to never give up on her One True Love Caleb. Romans 8:38-39, For I am persuaded that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Even after a forced separation from Caleb, Lily’s love for the Lord gives her the strength to carry on and to keep hope alive one day she shall be reunited to her One True Love. For God’s ears only Lily declares a Testament of Loves Promise. “….my heart will be a testament of my love only for you.”
Fifth: Forgiveness. Lily, daily subjected to the sadistic guards in prison her faith is constantly challenged to forgive and be obedient to the Word of the Lord as it is written in the “Lord’s Prayer” Jesus teaches the Faithful in Matthew 6:12, And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
However not left without recourse Lily acknowledges as it is written 2nd Timothy 4:14, Alexander the coppersmith did me much evil: the Lord reward him according to his works.
Lily locked away in a citadel of evil, she observes the rising and setting sun to which she is encourage by the passage of time knowing one day the “Wickedness of History” will become a mere epilogue in eternities past and there shall come a time the Faithful will lift up their banners freely in the Joy of the LORD! Psalms 20:5, We will rejoice in thy salvation and in the name of our God we will set up our banners: the LORD fulfill all thy petitions!

Fierceness and Wrath
Revelation 19:15, And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.
The Characters in the Romantic Suspenseful novel Lily Among Thorns have chosen to be Sealed with that Holy Spirit of Promise as it is written in Ephesians 1:13, In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with the holy Spirit of promise.
As the Battle of the Ages rages on in the novel Lily Among Thorns the characters look to their Blessed Hope; Jesus Christ should appear coming in the clouds in the Glory of the LORD! Until than it is necessary fundamental for the Faithful in Christ Jesus is daily Bible readings. Psalms 1:2, But his delight is in the Law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

The Mark of the Beast
Once Lily is rescued from prison, the conflicts continue as Jared becomes an essential part of her life. Caleb is still locked up somewhere and at the mercy of his brutal enemies. The “Mark of the Beast” is coming. The world is getting darker. Revelation 19:20, And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.
Thessalonians 5:5, Ye are all children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night nor of the darkness.
